Integris Partners recently advised Sartori Company in the divestiture of its Blue Moose of Boulder business. Comprising products sold under the Blue Moose and Ciolo brands, the company manufactures all-natural dips and spreads, including hummus, salsas, cheese spreads and pestos. Their award-winning products are sold through the natural, conventional, and club channels nationwide. The businesses were acquired by DWF Capital Holdings LLC, whose leadership includes Ed Shirley and Dan Fink. Shirley is the former CEO of Bacardi International and the former Vice Chairman of Procter & Gamble. Fink previously served on the executive and board levels of Bacardi and Richelieu Foods.

Bert Sartori, General Manager of Blue Moose, said, “With the strong growth prospects ahead for Blue Moose of Boulder our leadership decided Blue Moose needed additional talent and resources outside of Sartori’s core business. We remain excited about the business and will maintain a significant minority ownership stake. Integris got us a terrific result in finding a partner aligned with our values that wanted to continue to operate the business in Colorado.”

Ed Shirley said, “Consumers increasingly are trending toward natural snacking options and we believe that Blue Moose of Boulder's authentic, hand-crafted and high-quality ingredients will continue to resonate in the marketplace. I look forward to helping the Company achieve its accelerated growth plans,”

Dan Fink, Managing Partner of DWF, added, “Integris delivered the process expertise and technical skill that allowed us to move expeditiously toward a successful transaction that was exciting for both parties. We are thrilled to have partnered with Blue Moose and look forward to its continued market penetration across the country.”
